What has motivated you to come to Australia?
I believe that learning English can be challenging but a very necessary skill for professional improvement and new opportunities in her career.

Why did you choose Sydney to live in?
I choose Sydney because is a very multicultural city and I can experience different cultures by living in this city. Great variety of food, experiences and different people from various countries! I have great friends from Brazil living in Sydney and the weather is perfect.

Why do you like studying in Barton?
I love my teacher Sarah Oda she is very nice. I also like the friends I make and getting to know new students every week. The premises are also very nice and comfortable as everything is brand new.

What are your plans for future?
I just completed her Degree in Communication (Journalism) and I expect to improve my career by studying in Australia. After completing my English studies I will be applying for Masters to continue my studies.

Paloma Student Barton

I’m Taina, I’m from São Paulo, Brazil, and I have been living in Sydney for 7 months. When I first came to Sydney I fell in love with the city and I decided to stay longer, so then I extended my visa and I’m now studying General English at Barton International College. On my first day of English school, I could see that everyone comes from a different country, a different race, culture, and goals.

You meet different people like Brazilian, Chinese, Japanese, French, Germans and they become your friends. I had many difficulties that made me fear the language and but I didn’t give up. I had a lot of help from my teachers to improve my English skills.

I’ve always been very attached to my family, so the decision to live overseas was a hard one to take, but I can list a million things that helped me to decide to stay in  Sydney longer, for instance: Palm Beach, Dee Why, Manly, Bondi, Coogee, Maroubra, Malabar, Little Bay, Cronulla…etc.
